{"id":4256,"date":"2009-05-07T22:35:41","date_gmt":"2009-05-08T04:35:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/geek.ravenkai.com\/?p=4256"},"modified":"2009-05-08T22:49:00","modified_gmt":"2009-05-09T04:49:00","slug":"4256","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/uberscifigeek.com\/?p=4256","title":{"rendered":"Vulcan, Alberta&#8217;s Trek Comes to an End"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from <a href=\"http:\/\/vulcantourism.com\/\">Vulcan Tourism &amp; Trek Station<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>Well, Vulcan&#8217;s long and colourful journey that started in September 2007 with our ambitious quest to host the premiere of the new <em>Star Trek<\/em> movie came to a spectacular and memorable end last evening, as Paramount Pictures arranged for a special advance screening of <em>Star Trek<\/em> for 300 lucky Vulcan Guests.<\/p>\n<p>It was Vulcan&#8217;s red carpet moment, and our brush with Hollywood Glamour as we welcomed actor Bruce Greenwood to the event, and were met by a wall of media flashbulbs and microphones.<\/p>\n<p>I am so excited to report that in my mind, the new <em>Star Trek<\/em> movie did not disappoint! It was funny, action packed and suspenseful.
