VIZ Media Debuts Two Latest “Naruto” Volumes Ahead of Print Counterparts on VIZManga.com and the VIZ Manga App

VIZ Media continues to lead the digital manga (graphic novel) revolution with a variety of new titles just announced for November that are available to read online on VIZManga.com and also for digital download on the VIZ Manga App for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Among the notable new releases will be the two latest editions of Naruto – Volumes 54 and 55 – which will be made available on VIZ Media’s digital platforms several months in advance of their print counterparts. This is part of the Shonen Jump Digital Warp, a speed-up of selection titles to bring North American readers up-to-date with Japanese releases to prepare fans for the debut of the digital Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha in January 2012.

Naruto Vol. 54 . Rated ‘T’ for Teens . Available Today!

VIZ Media Releases Collector’s Edition of Apocalyptic Manga Series, “X”

VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), the largest distributor and licensor of anime and manga in North America, has announced the upcoming release of a deluxe collector’s edition for X, the apocalyptic action epic from the internationally renowned manga (graphic novel) creative team of CLAMP. New VIZ Media Manga Series “Psyren” Takes Readers to an Alternate Dimension Where You’ve Got to Fight to Get Back Home. Or Die Trying

ThinkGeek Launches 32 Items (But Not to the Moon)

On this day in 1959, the Soviet Union smacked the side of the moon with the Luna 2 probe, the first man-made object to touch the moon’s surface. 52 years later, we have the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (or GRAIL) heading up to study its interior and gravitational field.

So what’s next? Don’t know about you, but we’re prepping our spacesuits for a Moon Cruise.

Officially licensed by Marvel. This may look like a standard t-shirt, but it’s actually the Iron Man Mark IX suit. VIZ Media Announces Manga “Speed Up” for “Bleach” and “One Piece” Digital Releases on VIZManga.com and VIZ Manga App

VIZ Media continues to offer manga (graphic novel) fans a vast library of newly added digital titles for September through VIZManga.com and the VIZ Manga App for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The latest update includes a just-announced manga “speed up” for Bleach and One Piece that will bring both series up to date with their North American print counterparts by December.

Beginning today and continuing each Monday thereafter, new digital volumes of manga creator Tite Kubo’s supernatural action saga, Bleach, as well as the high seas pirate adventures of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, will be available online on VIZManga.com and also for download on the VIZ Manga App.

The latest manga speed up complements a similar accelerated release schedule announced earlier this month for Naruto, which just saw the release of 7 manga volumes in 7 days on VIZManga.com and the VIZ Manga App, and established digital parity with the bestselling series’ print counterpart.

Other notable September digital manga releases for both platforms will include the concluding volume to Inio Asano’s What a Wonderful World!, which will launch on September 12th, as well as the final volume to Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Z, available the same day. The newest edition of Natsume Ono’s acclaimed samurai drama, House of Five Leaves Volume 4, is scheduled for September 19th, a day before the print counterpart’s national release.
