The Guild’s Comic-Con Schedule

from The Guild:

If you are at Comic-Con in San Diego next week and would like to meet the cast of The Guild and get info on Season 3, there’s kinda no way you can avoid us! We’ll be everywhere! As a handy guide we’ve made this blog post so you can find us somewhere each day!

Xbox Live and Microsoft, our sponsor, has arranged for our panel to take place on:

Friday at 10:30am-11:30am in room 5AB.

We’ll be screening TWO videos, so you won’t want to miss it, I promise, we will be showing something that people are going to get excited over!

We’ll be signing a special promotional poster afterward in the Xbox booth from 12pm-1pm, and after that we’ll be doing Game with Fame from 2-3pm, so come play with us! What a treat to promote the show and play video games, ha! 🙂

We have our OWN booth this year (#4417) shared with Jamie Chambers, who is premiering the new Supernatural RPG game! We will be selling Season 1 and Season 2 DVDs, t-shirts from Jinx.com (including brand new designs!) and a variety of cast photos that you can get signed! There is at least one signing scheduled with the cast for each day, check the times below.

For signing times with the cast in The Guild booth, we are asking that you please purchase one item from the booth, even if you are bringing something to be signed. We are still an indie production and have a lot of expenses related to renting the booth and cast travel, etc. We greatly appreciate your supporting our independent show and enabling us to attend conventions like this! As always, you can get your Comic-Con Souvenir program signed for free per Comic-Con regulations.

Two Legend of Neil Contests!

from The Legend of Neil:

That’s right folks, there are TWO Neil contests you can participate in!

The first: Go join the Legend of Neil Facebook page if you haven’t already (why haven’t you?) and then get all of your friends to do it, because once we get 4,000 fans we’ll post a set of trivia questions, and the first three people to answer all of the questions correctly will win a free t-shirt! Fo’ realz! Of course, if you can’t wait, feel free to get your own at the Store.

The second: Comic-Con is right around the corner, and for you LoN fans who will be attending, this contest is for you! Wear your Legend of Neil shirt to Comic-Con and track down either Sandeep or Tony (GPS device optional), and the first 250 fans to do so will receive a Comic-Con exclusive limited edition prize! In addition to that awesomeness, each prize will be numbered and we will hold a lottery (location TBD) where you can win a genuine prop from the show!

Go! Go! Go! Win! Win! Win!

Cast and Series Creators of Safety Geeks: SVI Make Appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2009

from Free Press Release:

Web series creators and stars of the unique new show, Safety Geeks: SVI appear at this years San Diego Comic-Con, produced by Pith-e Productions and sponsored by KoldCast TV. All professional actors from traditional media, this marks the cast’s first appearance at the convention where the comic style and subject of the show seems ideally suited for the Comic-Con audience. Safety Geeks: SVI was recently cited in a New York Times article on the coming of longer web series and has been quickly building a following among comedy and science fiction fans, self-professed geeks, and lovers of Monty Python and Adult Swim. This live action series plays like a living comic book using special effects to create a “funny” Sin City-type world. The cast, writers and producers are there this year to meet fans and make new fans at the autograph table and on the floor of the Comic-Con Convention, here is their schedule:

Safety Geeks: SVI Comic-Con Autograph Table Schedule:

Thursday, July 23rd — Table AA14 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Friday, July 24th — Table AA11 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Sunday, July 26th — Table AA11 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Some sample DVDs of the first five episodes and cast autographed pictures are available at their autograph table and on the Comic-Con free table. Convention attendees can even order a T-shirt at the booth and enter a drawing for a gift card, if you sign up free for the fan list and watch Safety Geeks: SVI online. Watch the series now online at KoldCast and then come to the convention to get a chance to meet the sexy stars of the series, and even Brittney Powell.

Also, David Beeler and Tom Konkle have a film, Star Wars: The Fate Of The Duel as a finalist in the 2009 Star Wars Movie Challenge Awards on Friday, July 24 from 8:30 – 10:30 PM in Ballroom 20.

Safety Geeks: SVI is a live-action, innovative 12 episode program that combines the familiar form and structure of investigative shows with the fresh anarchic free form of Adult Swim while drawing on the dryness of British humor, yet with a more “in your face” American feel and lots of visual gags created with the post production artistry of Konkle, Thor Melsted and Mike Smith.

According to show creators Tom Konkle and David Beeler, the show plans to use innovative technologies and ideas to create 100 percent of the surreal sets and vehicles. The production team includes Roger Tonry, Michael Sherwood and casting director Liz Paulson.

It stars David Beeler as Reginald Syngen-Smythe, Tom Konkle as Budwin Yaker and Brittney Powell as Dr. Randi Minky, Benton Jennings as Hopkins, Mary Cseh as Sparky Van Der Graff, with Jim Woods, Mark Teich, Steve Tom, Ransford Dougherty, Chanel Ryan, Laura Hayes, Frank Payne, Adria Tennor, Ben Wang and many others.

The Dave and Tom-created Safety Geeks: SVI and Invention with Brian Forbes comedy series are posted on Koldcast.TV, and merchandise and music will be for sale through KoldCast’s ShowShops with distribution also on TivoCast, Zune and iTunes as part of Koldcast’s overall deal with those companies.

The Cabonauts

Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek‘s Uhura, co-stars in the upcoming web series The Cabonauts.

It’s 2183 AD and humans have finally conquered the stars. But the inky blackness that separates the galaxies and the hundreds of thousands of human outposts and colonies is vast and needs a firm hand to navigate. Which is why Cabonauts Inc. is so handy — you can just call a cab.

Harry’s learning to get his hack license and Cyril is his instructor. They’ve been friends forever, but the crappy economy has forced them to work together. We follow them as they take their passengers (played by iconic sci-fi actors & actresses) around the galaxies.

And did we mention each episode breaks into a full original song & music video?

It’s the single-most most unique web series ever produced; a sci-fi musical comedy starring all your sci-fi favorites in brand new roles — and singing and dancing as well. Think Hitchhikers Guide meets Flight of the Conchords, and you’re halfway there.

The Cabonauts. All Hail!

The Cabonauts premieres later this year on dailymotion.com.

Zelda Prop Contest

from Zelda Universe:

For those of you attending Comicon, the Zelda prizes aren’t over yet. Zelda based mini-series The Legend of Neil has decided to celebrate the beginning of their second season by holding a contest — those who wear a LoN t-shirt and visit their booth will win a prize and are also eligible to win one of the Zelda props from their show, such as a giant dungeon key or a shield.

For those unfamiliar with The Legend of Neil, it’s a web series about a guy named Neil who was transported into a Zelda game, which has been featured on Comedy Central. Be warned, it’s NSFW and if you are averse to the adult language level of, say, South Park, you might want to give it a miss, but for everyone else, you can watch it here or read their news via their Facebook page.

Birthday Wishes for Felicia

from The Guild:

No rest for the celebrated. Felicia Day, who turns [mumbles] today, is hard at work on Season 3.

Remember to check out the Knights of the Guild podcast for some great interviews, updates from the cast and crew, and some great discussions.

Some of the loyal Guild fans from our community have hijacked Felicia’s personal blog to wish her a happy birthday.

Lastly, none of this could be possible without our venerable leader, whose tireless efforts to entertain have been enjoyed by millions of viewers. We, at The Guild, find that working with Felicia has been blissful, and fun, and fulfilling because she inspires us all to work hard and make things happen even when it’s seemingly impossible.

From the cast and crew of The Guild, we would like to wish Felicia the happiest of birthdays.

Happy birthday, Red.

Happy Birthday, Felicia Day!

It’s Felicia Day‘s 30th birthday today. Webmaster Edgar Garcia posted a surprise birthday message for The Guild star on her official blog:

A handful of guild fans decided to band together to wish you, Felicia, a special happy birthday. Then forced me at nerf gun point to hijack your website and post it. I SWEAR! Without further ado, please enjoy this little video, put together and edited by The Guild and Felicia super Brazilian fan Dani.

Edgar and the Guildies from the Community

Best wishes (and virtual cupcakes) from ÜberSciFiGeek, as well!
